I hate being a failure. I hate it when things don’t go the way I have planned in my head. I’m one of those type-A kind of people. We look ahead so far and see things coming often before they actually occur. I’m not psychic by any means. Just part of how God built me. But sometimes when a person like this fails to see something coming, or when the circumstances change, and we fail at something its way to easy to feel like a failure.

When life throws you a curve ball and you can’t do what you had planned to do, how do you react? When life tells you that you’re a failure, what do you do? When you feel not good enough, where do you go for encouragement?

This world is filled with voices of people and circumstances that try to belittle you. When we measure ourselves against other people and their accomplishments, we’ll quickly feel not good enough. But there’s another message that we need to hear. It’s the message that God has for all of us. And his message isn’t conditioned on how good we are or what we can accomplish. His message is based on how he sees us even when no one else sees us that way. This message – you are loved.

I know that sounds pretty simple but when everything else is going wrong and you feel like the world is against you, just knowing that you are loved can change your outlook completely. Today I pray for you. I pray that you know you are loved. I pray that you know that God is real. And his love for you is real. I pray you know that there’s nothing you can do to change this love for you.
