Life has a tendency to throw us into a tailspin at times. We get so overrun with emotions that we can’t even find center again. Our calendars fill to the point that we don’t even have an extra minute to our day. Demands of life pull us in a million different directions. Our job isn’t exactly what we thought it was going to be. We have to work with people we want to love but who just seem unloveable.

When we start to feel overwhelmed it’s easy to stop all forward movement. It’s easy to just sit and do nothing. It can be a natural reaction to freeze, cower in a corner and hide. Then people look at us and it seems that everyone has their own idea of what’s truly important. Everyone likes to side-seat drive our lives. We are bombarded with you should…I would…what if you…AHHH!!!

No matter the heart behind the suggestions and directions they just overwhelm us. Sometimes we just need to stop, breathe and remember who has our life in his hands. This week’s music Monday goes to all those people who feel a little unsteady in their day-to-day lives. Remember, no one knows your today and your tomorrow better than the one who causes the earth to revolve around the sun. The only one who can steady you in the storms of life is your Jesus.

Where is Jesus in your life? Is he tucked in a suitcase under your bed waiting for you to call on him? Is he in that shoebox in the top of your closet with that outfit you wear twice a year? Is he sitting on the coffee table for everyone to look at but no one to interact with? Where is he? He wants to be at the center of all you do. He wants to be in every decision, every word, every thought and every relationship you have. He wants you to know that he’s all in for you and is inviting you to rely on him to be the steady hand in your most uncertain times.

Jesus, I feel like I’m off-balance. I need you to steady me today!
