I don’t know about you but it seems the more I know the more I realize I really don’t know all that much after all! I learn one thing and it has a tendency to undo something else I learned at another point in my life. Especially in today’s world when I learn about the things going on in our world and then the message changes, it’s just a swirling mess of noise anymore. So where do we start? How do we know what’s real and what’s not?

Today’s music Monday is about realizing that nothing we know is really real. It’s about admitting that we don’t have all the answers and the sooner we come to grips with that reality the more sense we can make out of life.

I don’t know the story behind the song but it sure seems to be written to our exact situation today. I can’t see the truth through the fog of these opinions. How true is that right now?! Everyone has an opinion and that opinion is their own version of the truth. But where do we find an absolute in all of this abstract shifting of shadows?

The reality is the only answer that has not changed through all of history is the message of the Jesus in the Bible. The command is still the same. The love is still the same. The call is still the same. The empowering is still the same. All of it is exactly the same. So today give this song a listen. Then take a few minutes and ask God to show you his truth and his way. Then follow where he leads you.
