Well, it’s Monday again and you know what that mean! MissionMondays-300x176Back to the grind. Another day, another dollar is how the old saying goes. But what would happen if every day had a purpose? You know like a special emphasis that would drive us through the day so that we could find meaning in the ordinary.

That’s the purpose of these Mission Monday entries. They are designed to give us something to look forward to that will drive us through the day. This week we’re going to build on last week’s thought of starting a conversation. It’s time to up the ante so to speak. If we take last week’s conversation one step further we’ll ask an open-ended question that shows we actually care about someone.

Here are a couple of examples:

  • If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?
  • If failure wasn’t an option, what new thing would you start?
  • What is something that you’re struggling with right now?
  • What are you celebrating in your life?
  • If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go? And why?

These are just a few examples. Make up your own based on your relationship with the person. The point here is to move beyond the pleasantries of our day to day lives and into deeper, more meaningful relationships.
