Bob Goff is a great writer and has made me realize something simply by the choice of covers on his books. This is Goff’s second published book and both have something in common – balloons! Balloons on the cover are so fun and vibrant and honestly simply nonthreatening. But there’s more to this book than just balloons on the cover. The theme of the book is about loving others how God loves us. This book answers the questions: who does God want us to love and when does he want us to love them? The answer…
Everybody Always! God wants us to love everybody, always!
We look for ways around it. We look for excuses to love everyone with the exception of that one person. We’re willing to love people who are like us, but you take that one person who’s not like us then wow…no way!
Goff also drives home the point very clearly that loving everybody always is more than a word or a sentence but it’s a lifestyle. And the only way we can love them properly is to be loved by God fully. When we fully understand the love of God for us, then we’ll be more equipped to love everybody always.
I highly recommend this book. It’s a fun and easy read. It’s pretty short and Goff’s writing style just helps pull you through. I personally used this book as a bit of a devotion for myself. Enjoy the read and then let’s change the world one relationship at a time by loving everybody always.
