We all face giants in life. Some of them are giants in the form of people who are just larger than life who seem to be better than us at everything. Then there are the giants of our work load from which we just can seem to dig out. Other giants can be our finances or our diet or even our exercise regimen. Whatever the giant, there’s hope for you as you face your giants.

All too often our fears seem insurmountable. They are all that we can see. Do you have one of those fears? Do you have one of those things in your life that you just can’t seem to see past? These fears become giants that are all-encompassing and all too often cause us to throw in the towel.

This week’s Music Monday is from one of my favorite bands, Rend Collective. These men and women have a way of speaking to my heart. Their song Every Giant Will Fall is really powerful and a great reminder as we look our giants square in the eyes.

As you listen picture young David facing a beastly man in Goliath. Picture the men and women of God in the Old Testament walking around a city that contained people who wanted to overtake them and all the followers of God had were trumpets and drums. Picture yourself standing face to face with your biggest fear and the largest giant you’ll ever face. Now watch as that giant falls right before your eyes.

I pray that as you listen to this song, your giant seems just a little smaller. I pray that you grow a little taller and lot stronger. I pray that your faith becomes so strong that you realize there is nothing your God cannot do.
