Digital Discipleship

By now many of us have started to acclimate to this fully digital and physically distant world in which we now live. With the inability to meet together we have been forced to come up with creative and technology rich solutions for our meetings, study times, worship services and even our extended family time. But how do we maintain a life-to-life discipleship approach in a fully digital and socially distant society?

It’s true that some of the restrictions will start to lift over the next few weeks and months, but in the mean time and potentially into the future are there methods for discipleship in a digital age that we need to learn and better utilize?

The first and probably most important part of any discipleship process is personal faith development. This means that we need to work diligently on our own spiritual growth as a man or woman of God. So it must be asked:

How are you growing in Christ? What resources are you using to study the Bible? Share on X

At Living Word Galena, we’re working hard to make sure we have access to all of the materials for spiritual growth possible. To that end we opened up access to RightNowMedia for the entire congregation and anyone who connects there through us. We have taken the time to hand pick resources that we feel will be beneficial for growing our faith as we walk through this time of uncertainty.

Over the next several weeks we’ll be unpacking different Digital Discipleship strategies and ways that we can all grow in Christ together while still keeping our physical distance from one another. But before we close this post what are you doing to connect deeper with Christ and what are you doing to stay in touch with those around you? Leave a comment or send me a message so we can chat about what works for you! I’m always open to learn something new.
