Good Monday morning! Today we have so many reasons to be thankful for all that God is doing in our lives. That’s why I love this song by Matt Redman titled 10,000 Reasons. As we kick the Monday Blues to the curb, get a little pick-me-up for everything the day has before us.
The title says it pretty simply – 10,000 Reasons. There are so many reasons for us to be thankful, for our hearts to find a reason to rejoice in the presence of God in our lives. There are countless reasons for us to enjoy every moment that we have in life.
From beginning of the song to its end, we’re taken through all of our life. From birth to death, we can see the reasons to find joy in Christ. From beginning of life to final breath there are reasons to find joy in the arms of Jesus. Whatever today holds, you can find time to bless the Lord through your life. That’s the whole thrust of this song.
Rodman seems to be looking forward to a time when the pains of this life will end and the fullness of our joy will be realized. He knows that the time is coming but for now we just keep singing the song of salvation. For now we just keep living that life He’s given us to live. For now we cherish each moment as a gift from God. For now we just see the 10,000 Reasons for my heart to find joy and contentment in the arms of Jesus.
